Let’s do a little exercise together.
No, not that kind.
Let’s do a thought exercise. I want you to close your eyes. Yes, really. Close your eyes and picture yourself a year from now.
What’s the same?
What’s different?
Have you lost weight? Have you gained weight?
Are you stronger? Do you have more endurance? Can you run farther and faster?
How do you feel?
How is your health?
Think about the absolute best version of yourself you can imagine.
Now how do you get there?
You can’t lose 50 pounds in a week. You can’t gain endurance in a month.
But if you can make small changes now. If you show up. And then keep showing up.
If you can do that, I promise you will be happier with the person you are a year from now.
But you have to start now.
Not tomorrow.
Not next week.
You have to start now.
Because tomorrow is always there. But tomorrow can always be put off.
You know what else is always there?
Right. Now.
