Why do I need a nutrition coach?

Eating healthy is hard!

Even those who have been great with their nutrition for a long time struggle.

Temptations are everywhere. 

But nutrition is probably the most important thing you can adjust to improve your health. You are literally fueling your body.

Your doctor prescribes you medicine to help you feel better or to fix an illness.

Maybe it’s time to have a nutrition coach prescribe you a healthy diet.

So what can a nutrition coach do for me that I can’t find on the internet?

#1 They will measure your baseline

There are plenty of free diet plans on the internet, but are they designed for you specifically? Do you truly know where you’re starting?

At Sycamore CrossFit, we use an InBody Machine to measure your weight, muscle mass, body fat percentage, and more. This helps us to figure out where you are starting and set goals for where you need to be. 

We can also use this information to check in on progress.

#2 They will start from where you are

We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach.

Some people come to us eating fast food three meals a day. Others are eating nutritious foods, but they aren’t eating enough.

Many people come to us to lose body fat. Others want to gain muscle mass.

We will design a plan that is feasible for you and fits your goals. We will help you ease into a nutrition program that you can stick with by creating and sustaining healthy habits.

#3 They provide accountability

Sometimes you just need someone to hold you accountable. 

It helps to know someone is going to be checking in on you and finding out how you did.

They are there if you make a mistake and need to talk to someone.

They are there to help you figure out how to do better next time.

#4 They will help you make adjustments

What happens when you reach your goals? What happens when you can’t follow your plan? What happens when it just isn’t working anymore?

Making adjustments is incredibly important if you want your plan to work. You need someone there to help you make the right adjustments.
