Why did you choose Sycamore CrossFit? Why do you keep coming back?
I was telling a friend that I was searching for a new gym and she told me about Sycamore CrossFit and that I should come in for an introduction class and see how I like it. After the first class I felt amazing and didn’t want to stop.
I keep coming back for not only challenges, the positive environment setting and the coaching. The coaches are amazing and know how to challenge you to try new things that even you don’t think you’re capable of but know how to make the right modifications so you can have the best workout.
What’s your best story about the gym?
There are so many I can say but one that stands out in my memory is when I had to take some time off to have shoulder surgery. When it was time to come back to the gym I was hesitant but the members and the coaches made me feel like no time had passed and helped me with anything I needed at the gym.
What advice would you give to the person you were a year ago?
Don’t give up because it maybe hard, but it is changing you for the better and it will pay off.
What accomplishment at the gym or in your nutrition are you the most proud of?
Being able to complete my first plate jump. I’ve been trying for a very long time to jump onto the 15# plate but I always seem to talk myself out of it. But jumping on that plate I felt so proud and gave me a boost of encouragement that maybe I can get to that box jump in the next year.
