Nutrition Spotlight: Samantha R

Samantha joined Sycamore CrossFit back in January with goals of becoming healthier, more energized, and more confident in herself. She has been dedicated to her goals from the very beginning. For example, during her first nutrition meeting, she confessed she was drinking 6-8 cups of coffee a day. She left that meeting eager to drink more water and set a goal to drink 80oz per day. Her commitment was apparent when she ordered a gigantic 80oz water bottle and has been drinking 80oz of water out of it ever since. With this healthy habit in place, she said she now craves water and has more energy than ever!

Samantha has proven that you can focus on your health goals by meal prepping and exercising, while working full time and raising kids. She is a Rockstar!

What has been integral to your success in working towards your health and wellness goals?

Meal prepping and planning, my community at work, my friends, and my community at CrossFit!! 

What are some non-scale victories that you’ve experienced during nutrition coaching?

I have been seizure free for 5 months, I feel confident in my own skin, I can look at myself without shaming myself!!

What advice would you give someone who is considering the nutrition program, but afraid to sign-up?

The hardest part is jumping in!!  Once you walk in that door the amount of support you have will keep you going, it was the best decision I have made for myself.  I am a better mom and person because I am making healthy lifestyle choices for all of us.
