“Hindsight is 2020.”
What a year for that phrase.
I’ve been seeing a lot of memes and posts on social media about 2020, and the focus seems to be on survival.
We survived. But it was really hard.
This may be true, but it’s also important to look back and focus on the positive.
What did we learn?
What did we gain?
How did we grow?
As we look toward 2021, it’s important to make new goals, but it’s also important to focus on the positives from the past year.
At Sycamore CrossFit, we have a Bright Spots Board. People post about their “wins” for the week, the month, or even their year. 🎵
Because sometimes you have a bad day. Sometimes you have a “bad” workout. But there is almost always something positive. And if you can figure out that one positive thing, it can give you the motivation you need. It can help you to keep going. Keep pushing. Keep improving.
So stop and ask yourself.
What is one thing I did this year that I am proud of?
What was my favorite part of this year?
What is one thing you did this year that you want to do again or do more of next year?
Don’t let 2020 feel like a waste. Focus on your bright spots. And next year, make even more!
