Do you have a goal?

Every single person who walks into Sycamore CrossFit for the first time has a goal. These are some examples of goals we help people achieve:

  • Improve health
  • Gain endurance
  • Become stronger
  • Lose weight
  • Gain confidence
  • Increase lifespan

People who have been with us for a long time may have met their weight loss goals or may feel happy with their physical appearance and overall health.

So what happens next?

Some people are naturally driven to keep going. They enjoy exercise. They enjoy being physically active. The goal of increasing your lifespan and physical capabilities never ends.

But what do you do when you’re just not feeling it anymore? Or what if you know you can benefit from having a new goal to reach?

Set a SMART Goal

SMART goals are:

  1. Specific
  2. Measureable
  3. Attainable
  4. Relevant
  5. Time-Based

One of our favorite things to do outside of coaching clients is goal setting sessions. This is where we help you set new goals and together we make a plan to get you there. It’s sort of like a free intro for a current member!

Our workouts are designed to help everyone gain endurance, build strength, and overall improve their fitness. But everyone gets to a place where they just aren’t feeling it anymore. We can help you come up with goals and help you adjust workouts to achieve them.

Here are some examples:

  • Phoebe has increased her weights on workouts even if she goes a little slower, because gaining strength is her goal.
  • Rebecca is focused on gymnastics, so she might add more reps of toes-to-bar and shorten her run or scale up from pull-ups to bar muscle-ups.
  • Mallory knows that she enjoys the workouts more with a heavy barbell, so she lifts heavier even if it slows her down in other movements.

Could you benefit from a goal setting session?
