Athlete of the Week – Mike Hampson

We are excited to announce Mike H. as our Athlete of the Week! Mike is a regular at the 5:30 AM class and this fun group of early morning peeps is one reason he keeps coming back for more. Having been an athlete since age 4, Mike is no stranger to hard work and discipline and he applies it daily when he tackles each WOD. Mike made a decision when he committed to CrossFit to not let laziness run his life. He made up his mind to keep showing up and pushing himself and has never looked back. He is a big part of the morning crew and if you have ever been to this class you know exactly what I mean. They are a close knit bunch that keep each other accountable to be there and help motivate each other to work hard before their day officially begins. Mike’s hard work has been paying off! This month he hit 2 PRs! He added 40 lbs to his sumo deadlift for a 1×1 @ 265 lbs, and added 50 lbs to his power snatch for a 3 x 5 @ 125 lbs! Way to go Mike! We are happy you decided to join the SYCF family!
