Why are people interested in building muscle?

Muscle uses energy, while fat stores energy. This means that the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn.

Muscle mass fortifies your bones, along with your tendons and ligaments.

Core strength helps improve balance and stability.

All of these in combination will make you less likely to experience a fall or an injury.

3. Strength makes life easier

The stronger you are, the easier everyday activities will be.

You can pick up a bag of dog food, climb the stairs, carry your children, bring in all the groceries at once, etc.
